Nantucket AIDS Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating
the epidemic of HIV/AIDS on Nantucket through education and community
advocacy. Our community's support and the individuals who have volunteered
their time and energy over the past eleven years have made it possible
for Nantucket to be a leader in the care of persons living with HIV/AIDS
and their families.
Services offered include: free anonymous testing and counseling, prevention
education workshops for schools, workplaces and the community, referral
for medical, legal and social services, supportive services for clients
and their families, John C.C. Mayo Support Center/Drop-in Center, professional
and volunteer training and education, current HIV/AIDS medical books,
publications and newsletters, emergency financial assistance for clients
and/or their families, Reb Brown Friendship House for persons living with
HIV/AIDS, free condoms available to community, HIV/AIDS prevention curriculum,
Case Management, Peers Promoting AIDS Awareness for high school students,
distribution of educational brochures and statewide policy advocacy.
