Boston Van Ride
The Boston Van Ride (BVR) runs Mondays
– Wednesdays and Fridays year-round.
The BVR brings clients of ASGCC and Helping Our Women to medical appointments
in the Boston area. To schedule a Boston Van Ride, call (508) 487-9445
or 1-800-905-1170 by 11am the day before your scheduled appointment.
Volunteer Transportation
Weekday transportation to medical and social service appointments on
the Cape are provided by ASGCC volunteers. Rides are
not guaranteed and are contingent on the availability of volunteers,
but we want you to know that ASGCC fabulous
Volunteer Coordinators are doing everything possible to find you a ride!
Outer Cape Food Programs
Daily
Lunch
Clients can enjoy lunch in the Great Room of the Provincetown Office
Mondays through Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Home delivery of
lunch is available upon request for homebound individuals; please call
your case manager.
Tuesdays, Local Flavor Dinners
This weekly gathering is the ASGCC-Provincetown's Tuesday night congregate
meal, served at 6:30 pm. It is open to clients and the HIV+ community,
and is a friendly atmosphere for clients to come together and meet one
another. Local churches, restaurants and volunteers prepare each week's
meal. Guests are asked for a $5 donation to offset the cost of the meal.
First Week of the Month, Food-ride
If you want to shop with us at the Stop & Shop or Star Market in
Orleans, call 508-487-9445 or stop by the Provincetown office and see
us at the front desk. Space is limited - sign up early!
Food Pantry
Non-perishable items available; clients can access the food pantry
twice a month for a total of 30 items per month.
Mid-Cape Food Programs
Monthly Food Box Distribution
Our monthly food box program includes fresh produce, dairy products,
eggs, meat, canned goods, miscellaneous health and beauty products.
Clients must reserve a food box by the first Friday of the month by
contacting their case manager. Distribution is the second Thursday from
1 – 4PM and Friday from 9AM - 4PM. Delivery to homebound clients
residing on the Mid and Upper Cape is contingent on availability of
volunteers.
Emergency Food Pantry
Emergency Food Pantry program is available for ASGCC Mid and Upper
Cape clients during regular office hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Monthly Congregate Luncheon Program
The congregate luncheon program take place the third Wednesday of each
month at 12:30 PM in the great room of the ASGCC Hyannis office. The
congregate lunch program bring people living with HIV/AIDS together
for an informal family style buffet and include educational topics of
interest. Previous program topics have included: HIV medication updates,
nutritional consults, various wellness program, music and live entertainment.
Hepatitis C Education Sessions
Are you co-infected with hepatitis C? Want more information on the
transmission of HCV? Do you have questions regarding starting therapy?
Do you need more information regarding side effects management? Come
and have your questions answered by Corie Maloney, HCV Specialist of
Roche Laboratories, Inc. at one our hepatitis C therapy education forums.

The Cape & Islands HIV/AIDS Client Advisory
Board Meetings
The Client Advisory Board (CAB) is open only to clients and invited
guests. The CAB advises the ASGCC, Outer Cape Health Services (OCHS)
and Infectious Disease Clinical Services (IDCS) on their policies &
services. Meetings rotate monthly between the ASGCC Hyannis & Provincetown
offices and the Martin's Conference Room at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Meetings always start @ 10:45 a.m. & rotate between sites. To add
an item to the CAB agenda, call (508)487-9445, ext. 43. Call your ASGCC
Case Manager if you need a ride!
