2008 Calendar of Events

You are cordially invited to attend our 2008 "Fun" Raising events to be held throughout this Spring and Summer season.
What interests you? We have something for everyone!
Cabaret-style parties, an elegant dining event, opportunities for swimming or biking, and a fabulous Art Auction.

Two ASGCC runners, Steve Kovacev and James Connors.

Sunday, August 10
Falmouth Road Race

The AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod (ASGCC) will have five runners in the legendary Falmouth Road Race, and each runner is seeking to raise at least $750 for the organization. Local community members are urged to support the runners with donations.

ASGCC client Stephen Kovacev, who ran the Boston Marathon in April, will be participating this year. Robert Ross, the ASGCC Board President, will be running side by side with Kovacev and James Connors, another client. In addition, the father-daughter team of Richard and Ingrid Epstein of Boston will round out the five entries. All express their pride in being able to participate in such a prestigious race, but especially because they can also be raising funds for Cape Cod’s only AIDS agency.

Please make out all checks to ASGCC and mail to PO Box 1522 Provincetown, MA 02657 or go to www.asgcc.org and click on DONATE. For more information about the race, go to www.falmouthroadrace.com/.

Participants have the option of riding the full 128 miles from Boston to Provincetown or completing about half of the distance (Boston to the Sagamore Bridge, or the bridge to Provincetown). Ride organizers are also seeking to recruit a large number of volunteers to help with preparations and with the ride itself. Anyone interested in participating as a rider or volunteer should contact Pat Fecher of the ASGCC at fecher@asgcc.org. Most importantly, donations are being accepted at www.harbortothebay.org . Click on DONATE and specify the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod on the Beneficiary Donation page.

To get the message out – and to directly help fund ASGCC’s large roster of services – Ben Burnham and Tim Leahy are two cyclists who will be peddling 128 miles in the Harbor to the Bay bicycle ride on Saturday, Sept. 20. The one-day event, which benefits ASGCC and three Boston AIDS organizations, is open to all cyclists who commit to the goal of raising at least $500 in pledges.

Fund raiser bike ride from Boston to Provincetown.
(1/2 ride is possible – Boston to Sagamore Bridge or Sagamore Bridge to Provincetown). Sign up to crew or ride or sponsor a crew member or rider at www.harbortothebay.org.
