Pozitively Sober Group Autumn 2014

Pozitively Sober Group
Autumn 2014

Provincetown Pozitive Project is launching its newest ASGCC support group in October.  The group – Pozitively Sober – will be a weekly support group, with an initial run of 6 weeks, for HIV+ gay/bi guys how are are interested in changing their relationship with substances (substances can be defined broadly, up to and including drugs, alcohol, compulsive sex, spending, etc.).

Abstinence is not a requirement of the group.   The goal is that group members will have varied levels of experience with addiction and change; some might have “sober time” from a particular substance, while others may be actively using and looking for information on what change looks like.   In order to keep the group participants safe, group members agree to abstain from use of substances immediately before and during the session.

If you’re interested in the group, please contact the group facilitator, Dan Gates (508-487-9445 / dgates@asgcc.org).  Participants will complete a brief intake before joining the first session.
