2008 Volunteering Schedule

2008 Auction T-shirt Firehouse Sale: all summer long
Volunteers are needed to sell our 2008 t-shirt and tanks (all shirts and tanks are $20 each) at the Firehouse (see schedule on the right). Most shifts are 2 hours long and work best when with 2 volunteers per shift. We have also "AIDS is no Fairy Tale" and Swim for Life shirts for sale. Retail Therapy: all summer long
The Firehouse will be the distribution point of Retail Therapy bracelets and will have calendars and shop list for potential donors. We are looking for local (Outer Cape) volunteers willing to go out and distribute post cards advertising the initiative and also to pitch the idea to additional businesses including guest houses. For more details, contact Pat.

Falmouth Road Race: Sunday, August 10
Come and cheer for ASGCC riders in Falmouth! The race begins at 10 am.

Classical Varla Concert Tuesday, August 19
3 volunteers needed starting at 6:30pm). Ushers and clean up at the end. Seat VIP people in correct section. Seat general admission people in balance. Tidy up each pew after concert. To sign up contact Pat.

2008 Auction Saturday, August 30, Fishermen's Wharf
Help needed with collecting donations, setting Auction page(s) on our web site, putting posters around Cape, setting up art display and tables, working during auction... Check here for more details...

Swim for Life: Friday & Saturday, September 5-6
Friday: 10 volunteers needed to help with Celebration of Life concert at the UU House. Contact Jay Critchley for details 508-487-1930, http://thecompact.org/swim4life/.

Saturday: 8 volunteers needed to help with Registration Table assistance, ASGCC table with t-shirts sales, help set up, distribute and break down lunch, pick up pizza for Spiritus Pizza and more!

Harbor to the Bay: Saturday, September 20
If you would like to sell raffle tickets for Harbor to the Bay at entrance to Tea Dance at Boatslip (beginning July 3rd to Labor Day), please contact Pat.

Also, volunteers needed to call guest houses to see if they will give a discount to Harbor to the Bay bike rides [for Sept. 20 night].

Volunteers/cheerleaders needed at different posts:
1. Bracket Road, North Eastham
2. Newcomb Hollow Road, Wellfleet
3. Cape Inn, Provincetown.

We will need also massage therapists (3-4) to help ease sore muscles...
